As a teacher, Mr. Darren Joe G. Follero's key advocacies are centered on the movement against illiteracy. That is why his primary advocacy is about strengthening literacy skills among Filipino youth, most especially now that we are in these trying times when the world is afflicted by rampant spreading of fake news and disinformation through the internet and the social media.

The advocacy of Titser Di with regards the eradication of illiteracy is focused on the following key programs:

1. The READER Program - The Revitalizing Excellence, Appreciation, Desire, and Enthusiasm for Reading or READER Program is focused on the spreading awareness among Filipino youth about the importance of reading, a very essential skill that every Filipino student should develop in himself/herself for with reading, we learn new things. This program also includes love and appreciation of literature through reading.
2. The PLUMA Program - The Pagsulat bilang Lunsaran ng Makabagong Kaalaman or PLUMA Program is focused on honing the writing skills of the Filipino youth so that they will be able to use their writing prowess in spreading facts.
3. The MIL Program - The Media and Information Literacy or MIL Program is focused on the spreading awareness among Filipino youth with regards to the responsible creation, utilization, and evaluation of various types of media and information, most especially now that most of our time are spent in the digital world, a platform usually used to spread lies through fake news and disinformation. In this program, computer literacy is also integrated where students are trained to use computer applications that will help them in their future endeavors.
